Just bracing ourselves for the rising Avon yet again after 36 hours of mostly torrential rain. EA predict it to rise nearly 2 mtrs overnight.

God it's been a bad season, grand total of 30 hours running this year compared to around 75-80 this time last year.

Hi
Is the photo looking down stream to Sonning lock the river looks outstanding, after the lock it must be interesting around and under the narrow bridge to say the least. We go to the mill 2 or 3 times a year . This year’s cruising has been restricted due to wife hip operation, perhaps next year we will be more adventurous. If unable to return to mooring due to conditions leave the boat where possible. Please keep the photos up to encourage us all even in challenging conditions

Well that me nearly finished for the crap season.

Had planned a last long day out/booze cruise with friends today to end the season as forecast looks good prior to trailering her off next week for the winter but the river is 2.5ft up and in the red so yet again grounded..so to speak

Hopefully this is just a bad one off summer, roll on next spring

Hope all is well with your boat and this weather. Don't think we will have had 30 hrs this year last season out nearly every weekend this "summer" only managed three trips.
There's allways next year to look foreward to
