It's blind optimism... When it's mid winter, you've just spent an hour laying out your tools, you're getting grief of your significant other and it starts slamming with rain... Everyone needs that belief that one day it will be finished... Entertainingly, I have a snag list that is about three weekends worth...

Finished?? No such word in boating I'm afraid.

Hi, good luck - I have just finished!

I only used one book as a point of reference, which is "This Old Boat" by Don Casey. It is an American book, and he is renovativing a sailing yacht, but I found it to be full of great techniques and invaluable, the electrical section and the 'how to attach bulkheads' were really informative. I would also cast your eye over the section on budgeting, the costs will probably spiral.

For specific queries I backed the book up with online forums and YouTube. This forum is helpful too.

I hope this helps, if you have any queries and I can help let me know.

Steve
