Hi - this is my first posting despite the fact that we've owned our Norman Conquest 20 for some years now. Here is my problem/query: The two chromed cleats at the front of the boat are very rusty now and one of them has snapped in half. I've managed to remove them both with a view to replacing them with shiny new ones. But is it possible to obtain new cleats that exactly match these old, what look to be original Norman cleats with exactly the same cleat or will I have to find something made more recently that is a close match. I really want to be able to find cleats that will fit onto the existing holes for the nut and bolts, rather than drilling new holes which will only serve to generally weaken this area of the boat. It would also be nice if the cleats were stainless steel for longer life.
Has anybody else encountered this problem or have any recommendations for where I can get new cleats that will do the job?
Thanks for any help and suggestions that you might have.

I have just ordered two stainless steel ones from eBay for £12 and if you can measure the pitch between hole centres, as soon as I receive them I can tell you if they match.
