Posted - 22 Aug 2012 : 17:15:33 I can recommend Seamark Nunn as well for outboard components like this, I needed a lot of parts the other year including oil seals and these connecting bits for remote controls and they sourced them all and were very helpful over the phone.

Posted - 20 Aug 2012 : 22:39:50 The correct term for the clip is an 'R' clip however I have heard them refered to as 'jesus' clips. Not sure how the sizing works if its on the wire diameter then 3/32" if its the size of the rounded bit it clips over/ through then about 1/4". If it all becomes a hassle a small split pin will do but that will be a faff to take off repeatedly. A decent engineering or fastening suppliers should be able to sort you out with either a pound should get you a handfull, if you ask them right for just a couple they may just give them as 'samples'. |

Posted - 20 Aug 2012 : 20:35:47 The plastic clip on my old mariner had a habit of jumping off so I used locking wire to secure it.

Posted - 19 Aug 2012 : 18:02:37 Hi
You may be able to identify the part you need from this US website which shows exploded diagrams and part numbers. Select the year of your engine first then the model then I expect you will want "Remote Control Kit" or similar. You can zoom into the diagrams and get part names and numbers as well as US Honda prices. Hope this helps
