No markings on our 22 either Dan

I was lucky enough to have Graham Wheeldon (son of the founder) confirm that ours was a 1968 (His first job was fitting the windows in our model!)

Our boat was purchased as a 1978 model ! - Previous owner insured this as such with no problems !

I changed the age on ins declare form & as such removed many offers of insurance as the boat was older

At a guess , wrap round windies date from say 1964 ?

Like in other threads, if you cannot find any markings usually just a bit of pencil scribble in the bow under the carpets then look at similar boats to get a rough idea because if you don't know it's sure as hell the insurance company won't know either.

Ah right i see, is there not a certain spot that they all were stamped so I can look I've looked around the floor and peeled back some of the insulation but I don't want to be stripping the whole boat back even more bare than it already is. Or any ideas how I can age the boat as I need to have an age to get insurance but I have no idea what it could be??

As said in your last thread, if there is nothing on the bare GRP right up inside the bows then you won't find anything else. There never has been a "formal" marking as such.
