Can anyone explain how to remove the aluminium framed windows on my 23. Is there hidden screws under the plastic incert that runs around the outside or am I missing something obvious? I Have decided to replace the seals but don't want to have them out for too long so I am trying to plan ahead.

Put them back in with self adhesive closed cell neoprene strip (hatchseal)and they are easier to take out again if needed, I once used a mastic tape and had to remove again, what a complete git that was, I've used hatch seal ever since.

If your windows are like those on Hunky 'B' then there are indeed screws under the plastic filler strip. Removing these screws releases the aluminum channel inside the boat so replacement is a two person job. Be warned that getting the Window off the boat is quite a long job as there will probably be some tough sealant between the wOutside the of the frame and GRP. It took me a couple of hours to remove one of the front windows but next time I'll make sure I have a cheap steel ruler which I can heat up using a paint stripper gun to slice through the sealant.

I'll look forward to your listing the expletives which accompanied the removal! It's not difficult, just time consuming.

Best of luck
