Posted - 26 Apr 2012 : 14:22:16 Hello everyone, I've just signed up / bought my first Norman (27). Hope this post goes on the forum ok.
While the purchase of the 27 (named Endless Skye) was going through I was researching on the intranet seeing what information and pictures I could pick up and is where I stumbled upon the N.B.A.S.
I looked at lots of pictures of Normans and only found one Norman 27 that looked the same as mine, here, on the Norman register named "Lazy Daze" I saw lots of other 27s, but they had subtle styling differences. So I concluded that "Lazy Daze" and my "Endless Skye" may have been some of the last off the production line as she was sold to me as a 1983 and the information on "Lazy Daze" said she was also a 1983. Maybe that was why they were slightly different and that all seemed to make sense.
I had downloaded the picture of "Lazy Daze" and my wife spotted that she had the same registration number as our "Endless Skye". With further internet investigation we discovered that they were the same boat Lazy Daze seems to have been renamed Endless Skye I think around about 2007.
That is all fine and she seems to be a great boat (will let you know as she come out of the water tomorrow!!) but, that means I am back to not being able to find another Norman 27 like "Endless Skye".
Please does anyone have any views or ideas why my 27 is different?? You can see her on the right down near the bottom of the first Norman register in her former alias of "Lazy Daze" I will upload some new pictures when I get some soon. Look forward to hearing from someone who might know, thanks Jonathan.

Posted - 28 Apr 2012 : 00:10:18 Don't suppose anyone knows if it's possible to find out who uploaded pictures to the Norman register, so I may try contact the previous owners of my Norman 27 formerly named lazy daze? |
