I put my 32' Norman Cruiser up for sale last week in the three
area newspapers have had quite a few people to view with interest
but when told what the age of the boat was the interest suddenly
went to no interest at all despite the fact that all the fees of
the boat where paid up till the end of October BSC till next year,
ive put a lot of work into getting this boat into a great condition
but they just do'nt like the age of the thing. |

WH Insurance (dinghy insure) only require 6 photos for condition no survey and no age limit.
Don't take life too serious, it's not permanent |

Craftinsure have a cut off date for boats longer than 23 feet. They just can't insure them. Other wise I'd still be with them.

Craftinsure usually ask for a series of photos only for insurance purposes. However why not tell those interested buyers to look mat the price of a new 32 ft boat or even a 23ft boat. They would be surprised. The reason that boats of many different makes are still on the rivers or canals only shows that the quality of these boats is excellent. |

Some insurance companies demand a hull survey beyond a certain age (30 year?) so that may have put off some folk. Other folk just may not realise that 30+ years is normal for this type of boat. Might be worth stressing the bits that are newer, like engine, canopy, cooker etc...
Have you advertised it on here? A 32 in good condition is a desirable boat. |
