Posted - 21 Apr 2012 : 22:06:54 I could actually do a top respray as its only the top that has lost its paint - Wonder if Honda use one of their car colours ?

Posted - 21 Apr 2012 : 17:32:58 Sorry Adi - no!
I don't keep artwork anyway afterwards.
But is you measure where they SHOULD have fitted and photo someone else's?
Then send off to a vinyl cutter?

Posted - 21 Apr 2012 : 10:47:11 I found this quite good for theft deterrent after the local scrote tried nicking my dinghy outboard.
Ironicaly it wasn't locked when they tried the clamps were just seized, the brand new dinghy was just tied to a cleat, 30 seconds and one figure 8 knot and they would have been off instead of 5 mins struggling and getting spotted. We have some clever crims round here....

Think they are more aimed at motorcycles so you will not get a perfect 15hp outboard replacement but they are cheap and look the part

+1 to that. We got a replacement cowling for our Honda that came as plain white. I also was shocked at the price of new decals so left it plain. It definitely makes it a less attractive theft target. Make it a feature by painting the boat name on it. Oh, and you can also fib to folks about how much power you have.... |

Posted - 20 Apr 2012 : 20:41:21 Try these in the link below. I have used them a few times for car graphics and if you send them photos and sizes of what you want they will give you a quote. Not expensive and don't seem too bothered with copyright etc as i had some manufactures logo stuff made up no problem in the past.
Or look on eBay under Honda decals, mainly for motorbikes but you could use the Honda logo ones and add the 15 on the rear with normal number decals.

Posted - 20 Apr 2012 : 20:06:11 Easy peasy that one! Do what I have done on the many engines I spray up - take a picture measure the decal and do the artwork on a DTP programme like MS Publisher. Then make a line sketch and put on the dims.
Then save it as a pdf and send it to one of the computer cut vinyl graphics lads on e-bay.
Alternatively - save it as a jpg file - some like that.
