Posted - 04 Apr 2012 : 12:04:52 Hi, I am looking to buy a reasonably priced..:-) trailer to accomodate a Norman 23 with a Honda 15hp outboard, a lot of the interior is missing so I guess it must be close to its gross weight. All suggestions welcome.
regards

Posted - 17 Apr 2012 : 18:15:30 Hi Mike
Thanks for this I'm trying to find out if I can tow my Mk3 Norman 23 with my 2.0 mitsi Outlander safely.
Does anyone know the likely weight of a 23, I have a Yanmar Diesel inboard installed as well?

Posted - 16 Apr 2012 : 23:43:45 Hi Kevein, yes I do have some pics of the trailer, I'm afraid I don't know how old it is, but the details of the trailer from the guy I bought it from who had it for 8 years are as follows - it has had new wheel bearings on the braked axle and new suspension units, hubs and bearings on the rear axle, The rollers have been replaced and are as good as new, good winch and wire and jockey wheel. The tyres are good and there is a spare wheel.the trailer has been used to carry a Dawncraft 22,a centre cockpit Teal 22 and a Viking 23.and the trailer has been mainly under cover.Trailer is adjustable axles will move and overall length can be shortened.
Overall length from hitch to end of trailer is 21 ft
From snub to end of trailer is 18 ft
From snub to centre of axles is 12ft 2ins.
Overall width 7ft 4ins
width between mudguards 6ft 10ins.....I have had my newly bought Norman 23 with outboard on the trailer and have towed it 240 miles with no problem at all with my Shogun 2.8 lwb. The trailer will be having a brand new 17"-30" Adjustable Height Winch Post & Snubber fitted as soon as the boat is off the trailer and launched. I am looking for around £1,300. Cheers Mike

Posted - 12 Apr 2012 : 14:41:11 Hi John, I don't know how soon you will need the trailer, but I will have a twin axle braked trailer for sale within the next month (maybe sooner) I have just brought back a Norman 23 from near Wigan to Surrey to go on the Thames, the boat is still on the trailer at the moment while a local boat yard will be jet washing and anti fouling etc, when they have done that and the boat is launched, I won't need the trailer.
