Had a Great day out today.
Paid for the BW licence yesterday , as usual as soon as we paid , the clouds rolled over........
A big surprise as we opened the curtains at home this morning - It was lovely !
So a cruise downstream , coupled with a tow of a Conquest back to the boatyard (failed steering) lashed side to side , behaved impeccably , although a little slower ! Cured us of wanting a Widebeam - Opening 2 gates at every lock - Ballache!
But all in all an excellent day out & a shakedown run for the next trip !

We had the same pleasure out in our new 23 today,great fun, lots of sun,
very relaxing and much easier than the 20 to keep in a straight line,
even made the missus happy to take the helm.only problem is St Neots
lock is still shut and I think St Ives is still out off action so can't go far yet.
