Hi All

I have not been to this website for some time so - Hi again - as i was going to sell my 20, but it didn't sell and as the construction industry is looking a bit brighter i am thinking of keeping it and moving it to St Neots as its nearer.

Can anyone give me any recommendations as there seems to be a few marinas in that area on the Gt Ouse and an idea what the rivers like? As you come up from Bedford it looks like it could be a bit bleak or is that not the case?

Thanks Clive

We used to moor at Jones' in St Ives. It's not cheap but it's a superb location, quick to reach by road and a really nice part of the river.

Bedford? Yuk!

The river is nice up there, the only bit I dont like much is from the danish camp to the big road bridge. there are a few on here that moor in st neots so will let them tell you about marina's, I moor further down at twenty pence, where is your boat now.

cheers

john

St.neots is an ok spot, st.neots marina can often find space for smaller boats and is fairly reasonable cost wise, bedford to bardford is pretty bleak but from there down it gets better, st.neots to st.ives has to be the nicest bits of gt.ouse, ely end is very boring till you get down the tributaries (and they start off boring), it's all lacking in good pubs these days.
