For the info of anyone on here with a mooring on the River Avon or in Worcestershire there has recently been a spate of break ins all along the river.

Strensham Mill was done around the beginning of the year. The Wyre Mill Club and my home mooring The Wyre Boat yard were done twice last week.

The ne'er do wells have been ripping out copper wires, batteries and calorifiers to take as scrap metal and leaving items of value.

I've done some digging and believe there are two offenders on mountain bikes who leave the bikes nearby and break into the boats overnight stacking the loot to collect the next day in a van or flatbed.

Please pass it on to everyone and report anything suspicious to the old bill

Regards

Billy
