Thanks for the great work you do with the website and Forum.

I have browsed the contents of the "Norman Register" and "Your Normans" with interest. I must confess that I cannot see a lot of difference between the two categories - please can you explain?

Also, it's probably asking too much, but would it be possible to add a "Search" facilities to these pages - even just searching for the name would be useful? Looking through to find a particular boat can be very time-consuming.

Best Wishes,

John

Dave - Thanks for the tip on searching web pages ... that is very useful for other sites too.

Trevor - Thanks for explaining the function of the "Register" and "Your Normans" pages.

Cheers, John

The "Norman Register" is a listing of individual boats. Each boat only being listed once despite changes in ownership. The "Your Normans" pages are for stories of work done, variuous extra pictures and the stuff that would not usually go onto the rigister entry.

As for the website construction and facilities, when I first started the site I knew sod all about web design etc, I know no more now! So its all very basic and simple. The upside is that it very rarely goes wrong!

You can actually use a browsers basic search facility.

One easy work around to look for a particular name is to use 'Ctrl + f' and type the boat name in the search box. You have to do this for each register but should highlight the name you seek.

Hope this answers one of your questions.

Dave
