hello norman lovers can you help us please reply
im looking to refurb a norman 27/ or 32 for a community project on the broads
my budget is £5k ish.
im looking around thorpe because of ease of access to norwich for people with disabilities.
can anyone help me find a norman preferably with an outboard?
the idea being to provide access to the natural beauty of the broads as therapy for people needing some peace to recover their
health and well-being
funding partnerships with local organisations is underway
can anyone launch me in the right direction

Your advert has not appeared because I have concerns over your use of an implied charitable status but give no evidence of this. You say that information about the Arc Project is in your first post! I'm afraid that is not enough info to convince me. I'm also far from convinced by the fact that you use a web based hotmail email address!
I think you need to be a bit more open and upfront about the charity you are involved with if you want people to consider your status when offering sales! |

So what exactly is this arc project and who exactly does it help? I can't help getting the feeling it involves only yourself, does it have a charity number?
I'm struggling to see what you could do with a relatively small narrowbeam boat being lived on that could help others.
Is it just me? I have always confessed to being a cynical git

Been rafted up alongside the albatros last year with a moody 33 in between (busy weekend), great little harbour.
Made it as far south as walton on the naze last year visiting shotley/ipswich/mistley/woodbridge/orford/snape on the way, snape was a real challenge and you only get time for a quick pint or two before you run out of water to get back out, pick the wrong tide and you could be stuck there for weeks, the channel's barely a boat wide in places but looks like a huge lake, oh the joys of withies...
I fancy a re-run next year.

i looked with awe and wonder at your jpegs, i know wells well.
looks like the rlm stood up to coastal roughs very well.
ever seen the albatros?
i miss frenches fish n chips and the great chandlers and the ironmongers shop opp. the tourist centre and the pinewoods.
spent many happy hours with family in wells.
ever ventured south or further like timothy spall?

i do scan fleabay but distrust pay conditions and advertisers who withdraw auction on sale private classifieds.
i noticed looking at norman archive documents by a norman descendent, that they produced variants on mouldings, eg. the 32 moulds were sold to atlanta and there are two versions, one has a aft deck the other the cabin is flush to aft.
i missed a lovely 27 for sale for 5k in leicestershire but too far.
seen a 27 at st olaves marina but overpriced at £6.5 considering age condition.
chris s where do you stick the panels on the sun deck? can they be walked on! still interested though, how big are they?

sonny im looking at the ikea catalogue as we speak, the single round lamps look ok, now ive got to leg over to wembley to brave the ikea elements, but will console myself with an ikea breakfast at only 99p, free coffee and bun.
might also check whether the muji wall-mounted cd player can run on lv.
anybody know if i can insulate between hull and internal boarding by drilling and injecting poly foam?
is it worth ripping out a factory 30yr old inboard engine even if it runs?
is the honda 15 outboard easy to fit steering wise?
if anybody can find me a 27/32 on the broads and it leads to a sale,
i will reward with a couple of quids.
as im in london and partly disabled its going to take some motivation to get up to norwich and get access, but the fares only £22!
are normans ok to live-aboard in winter?
best check out my thermals quilts humidifiers and parkas then.

Interior lighting can be covered by Ikea as their under cupboard lighting is 12v plus a transformer for mains operation and costs £10 for 4 x 12 inch strips, this has worked fine in my norman 20. |

LED nav light bulbs are quite expensive as they tend to have a lot of leds at different angles and need a clear lens, leds are very directional and very specific in colour wavelength so a coloured lens will block most of the light.
Great for raggies with little power but not cheap to buy.

Hi,
there have been quite a few sub £5K boats on ebay recently, they look as if they need a little fettling but nothing that a little time and effort wont fix.
LED technology has improved in leaps and bounds over the past few years and there are specific low consumption nav replacement bulbs available that will draw very little current, you may also want to consider consumption management in the cabin too with LED replacement bulbs.
I currently have a surplus of used Marlec 10 watt flexible solar panels that I bought as a job lot for my own project, which i have been selling on if you are looking to keep costs down.
