Hi just signed up after being pointed to this site.
This is our Norman (I believe 25)
We have had the boat for 3 years now and have been improving it every year.
It's now time for the outside repairs to start, already had a new canopy, new paint and graphics will follow also intend to completely rewire the boat.
Anyway questions.
What is the largest petrol tank I can fit (Is there a limit on size?)
When I rewire the boat I plan n using different colour wires for diferent items so can I wire it into a loom like you would find in a car?

It clearly states in BSS regs - 5.2.1/R - The maximum capacity of portable petrol tanks must not exceed 27 litres (6 gal).
Not sure on hard piped staic tanks

I dont think the bss states a maximum tank size as such but portable tanks are limited in size due to the petrolium regs which limit you to 4 gallons in a portable storage device. Some garages wont let you draw more than that if they see you putting it into a portable tank. Fixed tanks can be any size I think but the lines and fittings must be correct manufactured items, ie no jubilee clips or any old bits of pvc tubing.And the tank must be a corectly manufactured and pressure tested item.

You can use any colour wiring you like but I would try to keep black for all negatives so it's easy to identify polarity.

Glad you found your way here ! To be honest the CW Forum seem to be more interested in banter between the privileged few & some really don't like us poor old GRP owners !
Thats a Tidy looking 25 - Dont let Dave near it else it will look like this ....
Largest Portable Tank you can fit to BSS Guidelines is 27ltrs . You can fit a bigger fixed one but this has to be hard piped to the outboard I believe.
Usually black/red cabling is used for wiring - follow bss guidelines @ http://www.boatsafetyscheme.com/site/2ndedBSSEssentialGuide_212.asp
