Anyone know the times for the tides from Cromwell over the BHol Weekend ?

Planning on Arriving Cromwell hopefully on Sat 27th or Sun 28th - No probs really on taking the trip at low water , but would prefer the slight push of the ebb , shame we are a bit early for the springs on the new moon.

Unfortunately Dave , it means you won't have our beer company on the Wells trip (Unless you fancy a meet at Boston !)

Have to Say Bryan, Whilst last wks trip wasn't awe inspiring (Well it was the Fossdyke & Witham , it was a hell of a lot more enjoyable than Dads Tube (Although the Trip under Tower Bridge will stay in our memories for a long time) & a lot drier than the last trip in that bloody canoe (Upside down at Ratcliffe!)

Not sure how to proceed with the paint problem , another boat owner has been paid out by the paint company for a repaint apparently , need to contact them to see how they approached it.

Good to see you both - Chez has been watching Pirates of the Caribbean to see the best way to board .....

Good to see you again Adi, we could tell it was you coming towards us as Deb saw Chez swinging the lock key in preparation to board us

Not sure about the green tint on the hull but at least your at the helm of a proper boat now.

Bryan.

No pics of the Aegir unfortunately as it passed just before we had chance to photo (Fairly small at Torksey , just a small wave , but unusual to see so far downstream - 9.4m tide at Hull!

We did get a good push back to Cromwell , only having tp push the ebb for the last mile or so (should have applied more gas....)

Uneventful trip back home , meeting Bryan aboard Dermot on the Soar (This time at least on a less embarrassing craft!)

The weed on the Witham was mad...

& as usual we met the gravel boats either on a corner or in the shallow stretches ...

Probably the most laid back trip we have had - 8½ days , 232 miles , 56 locks of which 14 were manned - I guess Mr Bulmers & Mr Smirnoff will be happy at our consumption levels !

Get out and watch that Aegir as the tides are good for it, nearly 7 metres at immingham,, we had a fairly good flood come through kings lynn tuesday on a swinging mooring, took very little time to lift us off the bottom and swing us round, nothing like an aegir though.

Sat in the Swan at Torksey - Aegir due around 9.45 in the morning :-) We should lock out around 10 for a nice push to Cromwell. There's a sewer tuber looking slightly worried at the thought ! I love it !

Arrived bostonuainia 1.00 today . At times I think we would have made better progress with a lawn mower rather than a boat ! Off 2 buy some lewd coloured tracksuits so we fit in with the locals !

Hmm Guess you havent done the trip at low water then !! - 'In the Middle' would certainly see you aground at Dunham & a few other areas.

Dave - Normally we can sneak down on low water before the flood arrives at Torksey , Would prefer to take the Ebb tho - Will see when we arrive at Cromwell.
