Posted - 20 Aug 2011 : 20:31:58 Hi all The "crew" and I have spent the summer narrowing down our prospective Autumn boat purchase, and like the look of a Norman 23. We really need to spend half an hour or so looking around an aft cockpit 23 to try the headroom, the cockpit size, the space for heads/shower/berths. We would also like to see the difference between inboard and outboard power, in terms of noise/space/economy. Anyone out there got one on the Norfolk Broads, that would swap a little trial for a coffee (or beer)? Cheeky, I know, but how else do you try a boat for size? Cheers Steve |

Posted - 20 Aug 2011 : 21:46:50 Recently sold mine on the Broads. Now I don't often suggest using other forums but if you were to ask the question on the following one you will likely get a response.

We're not on the broads so cant help - However how many are in yr crew ?
The 22/23 is a good space for 2 on a long trip , good for 3 also but involves making the 3rd bed up & is'cosy' for 4 !
You could sleep 5 if someone takes a bed in the cockpit , but if over 2 adults you gotta be good freinds imho !
We use our 22 (pretty much the same as a 23) as a boat for us both but have berthed a mate on regular occasions or our 2 sons also (gets a bit cramped at night!)
Good luck on yr search !
Adi
