Hi and welcome if I may.

You'll need a twin axle trailer due to the weight of the diesel. Assuming you have the Volvo sail-drive version - or a retro-fit with a stern-drive you'll find most of the weight is in the back 20% of the boat so ideally a twin axle that allows you to move the axle frame back to get the boat more balanced.

THe trailer will need brakes of course and I suggest that when you get the outfit loaded on your first port of call be a public weighbridge to make sure you are within the tow-car's capacity. You'll probably need a Landrover or one of the bigger Jap 4 x 4's to stay legal.

The cost of boating is insignificant compared to costs of a young wife and two teenage kids!

Hi and welcome, if you look at the index and scroll down to Norman Range it gives you info on Normans, says a 23 is 1065kg.
