As usual to lazy to look , so first question here....

BSS test about to be booked hopefully (long overdue!) - Can I wire my new Surflo water pump directly off the Battery (With Inline fuse / switch) or does it need to come off the fusebox.

The old pump (Now aboard Dads Sewer tube after a long loan period ) was wired direct with fuse , but installed after my last BSS Obviously need it to be compliant now

Adi

Sewer Tubes ? I'd rather have a D**ncr*ft (Only Kidding)

It should go through the battery isolator switch, the only things allowed to bypass it are bilge pumps or things with memories that need power which must still be fused.

BSS requirements are to avoid fire and explosion so wired with a fuse - good. No bare wires, trailing wires, wires clipped to hot engine, wires clipped to gas pipes - then no problem.

The cost of boating is insignificant compared to costs of a young wife and two teenage kids!
