Posted - 09 Aug 2011 : 12:28:47 Folks, just checking in. As you know I am restoring an old battered Norman 17 in beautriful Co Sligo, Northwest Ireland. Over the past week I have reseated the keels after removing them some months back to fix delamination, rot and saturation. The job went very well and I'm just posting the update (loads of pictures) for anyone that might be interested.

You drove me absolutely barmy with your questions but I can see you have got the plot well and truly under control now and you're on your way.
You have made an outstanding job of that. Well done. From amateur, you have got stuck in and been determined to see it through at each stage, and not only that you have made what I would call a professional job of it.
Move up the ranks m'boy. I salute you because most would not have had the sheer, bloody-minded determination to see it through. Well done.
I think it's about time we here had a name to put to dnme as well - you are....?
The cost of boating is insignificant compared to costs of a young wife and two teenage kids! |
