Posted - 27 Jun 2011 : 06:57:02 I need advice on possible source of oil leak on my Yamaha 9.9. Dipstick shows constant level of engine oil (ie not losing any from there) The leak appears to be coming from a plate which is screwed on to the side of the leg. Any ideas guys??

Posted - 29 Jun 2011 : 06:18:31 A small amount of oil seems to look really bad when it enters the water. It`s hopefully only a small quantity. Usually the owners handbook will tell you which is the engine oil drain and the gear check/fill and drain holes. Any upper areas will be from the engine and lower ones the gears. There are plenty of manuals available on e-bay for little money. Paul. |
