Hi Guys,

I have been offered a great opportunity to buy a job lot of used flexible solar panels, they are the 10 watt spectra ones.

They have been glued on the top of trailers to power batteries for remote tracking systems so although are in perfect working order have a glue bead on the back and a few superficial marks to the surface.

They look to be good value at around £30 each, new ones are around £100 but with best will in the world I am not going to get 100 on my 20, I am just putting out feelers to see if there is any interest from anyone else before I decide what to do.

Thanks

Chris

Sorry James I only have one panel so unsure if one regulator would do two panels.someone with more techy knowledge might put you right.

Did a Google search and looks like you just need one just make sure it will cover the ampage needed.

Hi Knighty. I also bought a couple of these panels, and have yet to get round to wiring them in. With the regulator, is it okay to put both panel into the panel connectors, or would I need two regulators, one for each panel?

Sorry for the silly questions - would love to get these panels permanently connected and don't want to make a mistake.

Looking at an earlier post they have a built in diode so can be connected straight to battery. On my solar panel I fitted it with a regulator about 12pounds from ebay. Handy as it also tells you the battery charger status.

hi chris,
didnt realise you had any of these left. I bought one in june 2011 and would like to have another if you could set one aside for me please. How did I pay for it last time, notes in an envelope, paypal ? blowed if I can remember! I will try your e-mail address or failing that my e-mail address still the same if you would care to get in touch.

Hi all

I bought a couple of these off and just getting around to fitting can I just connect these to the battery or do i need anything else in between. If so I assume red wire from panel is positive

thanks

Having recently changed internet provider and forgetting to update my Norman Boats profile did not receive your original email reply. Have now changed my profile to include my new email address but have probably missed the boat (pardon the pun) If you do have any left please email my new address. cheers.
