Snowbird

Make: Princess

Model: Princess 30DS

Engine: 300HP Twin Inboard/Shaftdrive (Diesel)

This is my current boat 'Snowbird' a 1982 Princess 30DS. Bought in 2015 as needed a boat change, wanted something faster with better sea keeping and due to an MS diagnosis wanted an electric anchor windlass as my hands don't have the coordination for a chain snatching round a gypsy with 6 ton behind it. The pair of 150Hp volvo's power it through lumpy water so much better than I could ever wish for from Leo Magill and much less roll, just drinks fuel faster, will do 22 knots flat out and cruises at 16-18 knots at around 3200rpm. So far done most harbours between Wells next the sea and Dover but not up the Thames yet, that would have been this years goal but got plagued out. For rivers only I'd go back to the RLM31 any day as was a comfier boat but for sea I'll stick with the Princess till the lottery comes up.
