THE NORMAN RANGE
Although the website has been running just short of four years now I don't think we have yet got our classification quite right yet!
Feel free to contribute any corrections or amendments to what I hope will form the definitive classification. I'm including Callumcraft as there is no doubt they are our ancestors.
CallumCraft (NMP) Ltd produced 3 cabin cruisers, 2 dinghy's and a canoe!

CallumCraft 25 and Norman 25
Did you know you used to be a Callumcraft Flinty? All dimensions, weights and recommendations are the same for both models. The only noticeable difference being the wrap around windows on what I presume to be the earlier model and, therefore, the CallumCraft!

Norman 17
Although very similar in appearance to the CallumCraft, the Norman had at least an extra 3" headroom!
The CallumCraft also had an odd inset shape to the main cabin window.

There were three versions of the Norman 17, Mk's l, ll and lll
The Mk lll claims to have a larger raised foredeck, flared bow and increased keel.
Norman 18
Finally, after studying all available material it does appear that the Norman 18 NEVER had one of the porthole windows which does simplify identification. There also appears to have been only one model made.

Norman 18.5
This was the forerunner of the Norman 18 different in that it had wrap around windows at the front. I don't think we have one of these on the Register yet!

The Mk ll of this model lost the wrap around windows looking more like the Norman 18. The Mk l and Mk ll both had the porthole type window just forward of the cockpit. There appears to be a Mk lll version without this.
Norman 20
Probably the most popular of Normans in terms of numbers. Also being the most adaptable in proving to be a very sea worthy craft with a suitable motor on the back. This model changed very little although there was a Mk2 Deluxe during the last years of manufacture.

Norman 22
Norman 22 Mk l
The Norman 22 is likely the most complicated in that it has a few different window configurations. Many people have a 22 thinking they actually have a 23 it seems.

Now these are really educated guesses. There is a contradiction as to which is the Mk lV. I am going by the brochure information. The other two are complete guesses so if you have any better ideas??
Mk l
Mk ll
Mk lll
Mk lV
Apart from the window configurations there are other differences, the most noticeable being the style of grab rails on the cabin roof.
Norman 23
Now if all the foregoing are correct then this is the Norman 23 Mk l
followed by a Mk ll
and a Mk lll

Norman 24
It seems Norman had a bit of a fixation about tinkering with window styles. Apart from taking out a tape measure the easiest way to recognise a 24 is by a subtle difference in the main cabin window shape. Where the later 23's had either angular or rounded corners, the 24 has a cut off corner at the front lower edge.
The front deck is also shorter adding to extra space in the cockpit.
